By building Webflow into a $4 billion, 3.5-million-user platform where designers publish production-ready websites without writing code, Magdalin has made custom web development as accessible as drag-and-drop, stripping out the engineering dependency that once bottlenecked the entire industry.
Vlad Magdalin is the Co-Founder and Chief Innovation Officer of Webflow, the visual web development platform he co-founded in 2013 that lets designers build production-ready websites without writing code.
Webflow serves millions of users including teams at Dell, Discord, Zendesk, and Upwork, and was valued at $4 billion in its most recent funding round. Magdalin stepped down as CEO in 2024, with Linda Tong taking over, and now focuses on product innovation, community, and evangelism while serving as Chair of the board. Born in Russia, Magdalin's family immigrated to the United States as refugees, and his vision for Webflow was shaped by his frustration as a designer dependent on developers to build his designs.
