Under Wallwork's leadership, Milo's Tea converted to full employee ownership in 2018 — a structure nearly absent in consumer packaged goods — while scaling a preservative-free, freshly brewed tea brand into all 50 states through Walmart, Target, and Kroger.
Tricia Wallwork runs Milo's Tea Company, the Alabama-founded family business now in its third generation.
What began in 1946 as a Birmingham restaurant is now one of the fastest-growing ready-to-drink tea brands in the U.S., distributed through Walmart, Target, Publix, and Kroger nationwide. Wallwork took Milo's fully employee-owned in 2018, and in 2025 EY named her its Family Business Entrepreneur of the Year.
