Sheila Lirio Marcelo founded Care.com in 2006 and built the platform for finding child care, senior care, pet care, and housekeeping into a service used by over 35 million members in more than 20 countries.
She took the company public in 2014 and sold it to IAC for $500 million in 2020. Born in the Philippines, she has been named to Fortune's Most Powerful Women Entrepreneurs and Forbes' America's Richest Self-Made Women.
