Palmer Luckey founded Oculus VR at 19, which Facebook acquired for $2 billion in 2014, and in 2017 founded defense-technology company Anduril Industries, where he is now Chairman.
Anduril builds autonomous systems, AI-powered surveillance towers, and counter-drone technology for the U.S. military. In May 2026 the company raised $5 billion at a $61 billion valuation, roughly doubling its valuation in a year.
