Mira Murati is Founder of Thinking Machines Lab, an AI research and product company she launched in 2024 after serving as Chief Technology Officer at OpenAI, where she led development of ChatGPT and DALL-E and briefly served as interim CEO during the November 2023 leadership crisis.
Thinking Machines raised about $2 billion in seed funding led by Andreessen Horowitz at a $12 billion valuation. Murati was born in Albania and holds degrees from Dartmouth.
