Daniel Ek co-founded Spotify in 2006 and serves as Executive Chairman after stepping back from the CEO role.
He led the music-streaming company through its 2018 public listing and its expansion into podcasts and audiobooks. Spotify now has more than 600 million users and over 220 million premium subscribers, and remains the world's largest music streaming platform.
