Brian Chesky is Co-Founder and CEO of Airbnb, the global travel platform he launched in 2008 by renting out air mattresses in his San Francisco apartment.
Airbnb now has a market capitalization exceeding $80 billion and has facilitated over 1.5 billion guest arrivals across more than 220 countries and regions. During COVID-19, Chesky laid off 25 percent of the workforce while providing generous severance, a decision widely covered in business press.
