By launching a $45 blowout-only salon in Brentwood in 2010, Alli Webb invented an entirely new beauty category — blow-dry bars — scaling Drybar to 150-plus locations and $100 million in annual revenue before a 2020 acquisition by WellBiz Brands.
Alli Webb founded Drybar in 2010 in Brentwood, California, offering blowouts only at a flat $45 in a stylish, single-service salon format.
The chain grew to over 150 locations and a styling-tool line sold at Sephora and Nordstrom before WellBiz Brands acquired Drybar in 2020. Webb has since co-founded Squeeze, Brightside, and the haircare brand Messy, backed by Unilever Ventures.
