Built out of Harvard Business School in 2012, Hanrahan's Handy scaled into one of America's largest on-demand home services platforms before a $166 million acquisition by Angi, where he then rose to CEO overseeing millions of homeowners nationwide.
Oisín Hanrahan is the Co-Founder of Handy, the home services marketplace that connected customers with vetted professionals for cleaning, handyman work, moving, and more.
Hanrahan, originally from Ireland, co-founded Handy in 2012 while studying at Harvard Business School, building it into one of the largest on-demand home services platforms in America. Handy was acquired by Angi Inc. (formerly Angie's List, then ANGI Homeservices) in 2018 for approximately $166 million. Following the acquisition, Hanrahan served as Chief Product Officer and later CEO of Angi until 2022, leading the integration of Handy into the larger Angi ecosystem serving millions of homeowners. Before Handy, he founded Clearwater, a property management business. Hanrahan is now an active angel investor and advisor to consumer marketplace and home services companies. His work in Home Services-an industry representing hundreds of billions of dollars in annual spending-helped drag one of the most fragmented and analog consumer markets into the digital era. The systems and processes he built continue to serve millions of American homeowners through the Angi platform.
